Lara Reiterates Interest in Making Debut in IPL 4

Former West Indies captain, Brian Lara, was in the Royal Box at Wimbledon but his mind is certainly on the lure of the IPL.
Lara was playing for the MCC team on Sunday at Lord’s against Pakistan where he made thirty-seven runs. But what he is really looking is a chance to play in the IPL, perhaps IPL 4.
While Lara was adamant he loved Test cricket, he felt he wanted to give a shot at the evolving game, basically, Twenty20. While he disappointed the deal with the England county, Surrey, did not go through, he hinted he was opened to any role with the Twenty20 game, including the role of a player-coach, a la Shane Warne for the Rajasthan Royals.
