The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognition has appealed to the ICC chief executive but there are constraints.
Haroon Lorgat is one amongst many who are thrilled to have cricket enter the recognition page of the Olympics. However, he is not keen to set a date on when cricket would make its bid to enter the Olympics. He also felt that only Twenty20 would fit in the format of an Olympic event.
He is certainly sounding optimistic without being specific. Would that have anything to do with the fact that the ICC is yet to convince the BCCI and the Indian cricketers about the whereabouts clause of the WADA code, mandatory for all athletes?
