The ICC President David Morgan believes that Test cricket will become a day and night affair in two years’ time.
Morgan has apparently overcome ideas of not tampering with tradition and believes day and night Tests would be the way to go in the future in countries that boast of large stadiums and where temperatures tend to soar, citing Australia.
The idea has developed to the extent that the opening domestic match in England’s county season next year will feature in Dubai with a pink ball. If the experiments snowballs into the international arena, Test cricket could well change its avatar.
Leading the way, Morgan believes he would be shocked if that were not implemented in two years time, indicating that the traditional game may be becoming a thing of the past, as it currently stands.
