After a delayed start, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first in the first Test against Australia at Lord’s.
Wet outfield delayed the start of the first day’s play by over an hour before the Pakistan captain decided to make best use of the conditions by deciding to bowl first.
The two teams are playing in Pakistan’s “home series”. It is also interesting to know that both teams have two debutants in their playing eleven. While Australia were already confirmed to giving the Test cap to Steven Smith and wicket keeper, Tim Paine, Pakistan brought in two young talents in Azhar Ali and Umar Amin.
