Pakistan’s version of the IPL is apparently slated for October, 2010.
Pakistan intends to host a Twenty20 tournament, very much on the lines of India’s Indian Premier League tournament, with a franchisee system that is said to be based on the IPL.
The difference is that Pakistan proposes to host the tournament with the Bukhatir group, responsible for hosting cricket in Sharjah. The plan apparently has the blessing of the Pakistan president, Asif Ali Zardari.
Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are to be the designated venues.
