Sharad Pawar is in a pickle. On the one hand, his high profile meeting with the Shiv Sena supremo yielded nothing. On the other hand, the AP Sports Minister says Pawar had assured IPL 3 matches at home for the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers.
The former BCCI President failed to convince Bal Thackeray to take back the threats not to allow Australian cricketers to play in Mumbai in the IPL 3 over the racial attacks on Indians down under.
Shortly thereafter the AP Sports Minister, K. Venkat Reddy, has alleged that Pawar did promise IPL 3 matches in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam despite the IPL 3 opening ceremony shifted to Navi Mumbai which is why the ticket sales went ahead as forward.
