PCB Admits It Could Not Convince Indian High Commission; Modi Gets Involved with CAB

If the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) thinks it may still get some help from the IPL, the IPL Commissioner seems even less inclined. The PCB is going on record to say that they have done everything in their power to ensure that the documents relevant for the Pakistan cricketers to participate in the IPL 3 were in order.
However, it admits that the Indian High Commission was somethign they had not bargained on and the refusal to hand out visas spelt the end of hopes. But Modi seems even less inclined to interfere in the process even thought the PCB is hoping for a miracle.
But Modi has other matters on his mind. His recent loss in elections in the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has raised speculation that his trip to the Eden Gardens to meet Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) President Jagmohan Dalmiya had more to do with possibly finding a place in the set up for gaining his voting rights rather than look upon the renovation process that is going on with the stadium with an eye on the 2011 ICC World Cup.
