It is only the first day of the first Test of the India Australia series and there has already been plenty to talk about including a stunning moment between the Australian captain and the Indian fast bowler.
Ricky Ponting was dismissed via a run out by Suresh Raina even as he was batting well for seventy-one. It is unclear why Zaheer Khan talked as Ponting was walking back.
But clearly it was within Ponting’s earshot because not only did he walk back, even as the Indians were taking drinks but also, pointed the bat in what seemed like a heated exchange of words.
Umpire Billy Bowden ensured it did not get out of hand even as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian captain, appeared to be asking Dhoni to quiet down.
