Honours for Sachin Tendulkar must now appear banal. Then, the fact that he will be immortalized in stone must be another day in the limelight.
Sachin Tendulkar will meet his wax lookalike in Mumbai after which the statue will join the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan at Madame Tussaud’s, London.
Not only will it be historic because Tendulkar becomes the first Indian sportsman to be honoured but also, the first time that a Madame Tassaud’s statue will be unveiled overseas.
It is certainly an honour well deserved and another day when Tendulkar will know how much he is appreciated.
