Shah Rukh Shah, Bollywood’s self proclaimed Badshah and co owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders team, feels he is responsible for letting down the fans of Kolkata.
The KKR did a complete flop in the second year of the IPL, the IPL 2 season which was held in South Africa. It came down to Sourav Ganguly being stropped of the captaincy at the start of the season, then coach John Buchanan sacked at the end of the season and an all round mess in between.
SRK feels he has personally let down the fans from the east because he feels not all decisions were made in full knowledge of what was best and that the team’s lack of cohesiveness could also be blamed on his not doing enough.
However, SRK now reposed faith in Ganguly and he believes with Dav Whatmore as the coach and Wasim Akram as the bowling consultant, KKR will do better than their dismal performance last time round.
And no, he is not rushing into picking who he wants in the forthcoming auctions.
