The story that began during IPL 3 seems set to continue through the off season as well with Shashi Taroor back in the picture for the Kochi franchisee and Lalit Modi fighting off indications that the BCCI may have fired him already.
At the Kochi team administration’s first meeting, Taroor made his presence apparent, clearly indicating that he was not going to shy away from the IPL franchisee despite the furore his association created in Parliament, especially now that he was forced to resign as the Minister of State for External Affairs.
On the other hand, Modi is claiming through his lawyer that N. Srinivasan, the BCCI secretary, has not handed him all the proof of the allegations made against him.
What irked Modi though was the fact that N. Srinivasan is said to have referred to Modi as “the then chairman” is one of the emails exchanged between, Modi once again stating that he was still IPL Chairman and that he had only been suspended pending investigation.
