What a scandal that almost was! That was perhaps what Shane Warne and Liz Hurley were hoping the world would say when they took to their respective Twitter pages to coo their lost love. How predictable, it would appear.
It has been no secret that the Australian leg spinner had taken a fancy to the British actress. Their being spotted together with reports of Warne apparently throwing enough attention towards his object of affection was not ruled out.

However, it was interesting to note that the news even received the highlights was because of Warne’s past and the fact that both, Hurley and Warne, were said to be happily reconciled in marriage after several rumours of discomfort between Liz Hurley and her Indian businessman husband, Arun Nayar, and Shane having previously split from Simone Warne over the cheating scandals that cost him both, marriage and the Australian captaincy, during his playing days.

Now as the rampant reports of an affair between Warne and Hurley have gathered force after the duo reportedly hooked up in London where Warne was last week, both have decided to announce that their affair is no scandal because both their respective marriages were doomed, whether doomed before the sparks flew or not has not been clarified.

Hurley wrote on her Twitter page where Warne and Hurley interact on the public domain rather brazenly,

For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.

For his part, Warne suggested that he and Simone had stopped being an item a while back after rumours of him and Simone reconciling for the sake of the children,

Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents.

Liz Hurley was a long time girlfriend of British actor, Hugh Grant, before moving onto Nayar and it would seem that the Hurley-Warne romance is likely to grab headlines for much longer, or at least until they decide to part.
