The picture above is of England’s Claire Taylor who has been their batting main stay. But Deandra Dottin is writing her way into the history books as well.
West Indies’ Dottin scored women cricket’s first Twenty20 century while playing the opening match of the 2010 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 against South Africa. Dottin’s seven fours and nine sixes innings beat Australia’s Karen Rolton’s ninety-six against England in 2004. Dottin’s innings also helped West Indies beat South Africa by seventeen runs.
